Home come Howa's don't get more love?
My .30-06 is a Howa. It is my first, and so far only, hunting rifle. With the "cheap" scope it came packaged with I think I paid $450 about 4 years ago. The thing is dead on so far in all conditions. I might upgrade the scope one day, but for now it serves it purpose. -

Good deal! I hunt a spot over by Showdown Ski area. Seen lots of activity in there but never put anything on the ground. Beautiful county though, try to find a spot with minimal dead-fall, there's lots of it there. -

Thanks! Yeah seems a bit backwards. I was lucky to work for three years in Billings, kind of a one-off in my industry. That office closed down and Texas it was. We will enjoy our time here, like you said the people are great (for the most part). It's just a different pace of life, way too fast... -
