    Top two rifles for me is a .308 and 300wm. My go to hunting rifle is the .308 everyday unless I am hunting serious open/flat country and need the extra yards of the 300wm. With the .308 there is just so many good rounds off the shelf and even better readily available loads for reloading yourself.

    I could go that route if need be, just figured I would try it with the .308 first as the barrel is already threaded and a bolt action so I don't have to worry about cycling issues. I do know that the 300 AAC was designed to run and cycle with sub sonic, just not a fan.

    need help estimating value on this set up

    I didn't find much on the gun and scope as far as recent sales to get a baseline, some older sales had them in the $500 range for the rifle and $600 range for the scope. Keep in mind these sales are about 4-9 years old though.
