Eberlestock X2 Pack
If it were me i would just get a regular backpacking pack like an osprey or gregory. Can get a really nice pack for about the same price of the x2 and the backpacking pack will have a better suspension. I got a osprey for my son and he really likes it, summers he can backpack and fall he uses it...- CRANNY

Idaho controlled hunt

Gear advice from experienced elk hunters
Im no expert by any means. I try to get out hunting and backpacking as much as i can. The #1 and #2 on my list is 1. Be in shape... 2. Quality boot and they MUST be broken in before you come out to hit the mountains. The best gear in the world wont do you any good if your feet are hamburger... -

My son's Idaho whitetail.
Not his first deer or his first buck but thought id post up the pics here. Shot him mid Nov. He skinned and quarted it mostly by himself. He carried the front quarters and skull out the 2 miles to the truck i had the rest. The buck has a deformed rack on the left but still a trophy to us... -
