    My one elk which I killed this year was right around 55 yards. One shot right through the boiler room with 270. He fell within 25 yards.

    Ballistic Tip bullets in 130 grain. They are the yellow tipped bullets. I load 53.5 gr. H414 behind it. Works very well in my rifle.

    Since I started this thread its obvious I have never bought an aftermarket stock. Which makes me ask you guys this. What is a good stock without spending $500-$600 on a manners or McMillan. Could probably make a whole new thread just for that topic.
