Looking at burning 3 points next year. Want to stay in the eastern half of Wyoming, preferably Casper area or open for suggestions. Looking at areas 10, and 22. Don't think I want to waste 3 pps on area B. Would appreciate some ideas and or thoughts on the area. Thanks in advance.
No I don't have any points in either Wyoming or Colorado. If Colorado becomes my choice for a cow tag then look at the NW corner of the state for a late season cow hunt to better my odds?
Not the best in physical got an injured foot due to a car accident several years ago I've been ok on several antelope hunts but they didn't seem too hard
Just wanting to get a few opinions for a solo hunter 50 years old. Looking to plan a diy in either Colorado or Wyoming. What are the pros and cons of the two and what areas of either state would I want to begin my research?
I am curious if anyone has hunted 29 in the past for antelope and know of any inexpensive trespass fee private land hunt connections? I've checked the landowner list and am coming up pretty much empty. Thanks in advance
I guess as I read thru the replies, came up with thoughts and ideas without really spending much time studying them. I'm working and contemplating all this stuff. But thanks some really helpful info for me.
So I'm seeing a few of you have been successful in the hma's gaining access, and success I would guess in filling your tags. I'm just beginning my work and thoughts for 2016, and am coming here to educate myself even further. I've had 2 successful antelope hunts in WY to date. I would need a...
I'm thinking you would have to match the hunt area # and correspond the species, ie draw the tag in a unit with hma then apply for that draw to hunt a hma. Wonder if there's any way to know how many hunters are allowed on the special draw hma's?
Just curious to know, I see G&F offers a decent amount of WHMA land to hunt. Has anyone ever went thru the drawing process and got a permit to access some of this land? Feel free to pm me if necessary. Or is it really beat down with too many other hunters or kept to a minimum. Give me your...
Thanks topgun for the info. When I asked G&F out of Wyoming just curious why they would point me this way. I did explain to them as being unable to hike mountains and steep terrain due to a car accident several years ago and a bad foot. I saw the 2014 harvest was 52.6% for area 10. Also curious...
