Crappie in Canyon Lake?

Topwater bite?
I have read these reports that people are getting good topwater bites, but I've fished a Zara puppy (and a Rapala topwater plug) a bit with nary a strike. Usually, if the fish are interested in dying, flailing baitfish on the surface, they'll hit it almost immediately. What's up with that?- Fat Bassturd
