Got lucky this past weekend during 1st rifle. Had a small group run up on me. Was able to let one fly and take my very first elk.
Doing an elk hunt solo is a lot of work. Man 4 trips wears on you but so worth it. My boys eyes when I got home made all the struggle worth it.
I'd like to...
Got my medium in yesterday. Little small for the porro style binos I have but Paul said that may be the case. Anyways love the product and can't wait to get it in the field
Hmm interesting
Just spoke with cpwd, dang it. Messed up my plan. But basically I need to get the leftover and pick a B hunt. Easy fix but not what I wanted.
I guess that woulda been good to say what season. I'm planning muzzleloader. I'm a resident and plan on doing otc rifle this year as well if muzzleload doesn't pan out.
Any benefits to the east side vs west side of the unit?
Thinking about going here this year. Have heard about Taylor park and crested butte.
Anyone have ideas about terrain and habitat? I don't want to know your spots this is just my second year elk hunting so I'm a NEWB.
any help is greatly appreciated
I really like my LL bean Maine hunters. They aren't very popular on these kind of sites.
They are tough, comfortable and their warrenty is unmatched. Had a pair that I ordered one size to big. Had them two years thinking I would get used to the room. Well I didn't. They took them...
This'll be my second muzzleloader hunt, pending draw but I'm fine with a cow tag. I'm looking at some otc second or third season if I don't bag in muzzleloader
I saw the first episode. Made it halfway through decided it wasn't for me. Then watched his turkey episode.... once he said it was on the same ranch I just turned it offf.
I have a 13 with 60k on it and I get an average of 15.5. I've tried the high grade gas and it bumps up to 15.9. Overall it's ok for an engine. If I was able to choose again I would have gone with the 5.0.
Not engine related but I did have my tranny go out already.
