My friend (he's done black powder all his life) uses hot (boiling) water and vinegar to break through the nasty from an uncleaned revolver.
He's gotten several to shooting condition using this.
Well, i ended up getting a Traditions (can't recall the model) in 45.
Put an EGW base on it with a 3-9X40 Crimson Trace Hardline scope.
Interestingly enough, Traditions says NOT to use patched round ball or Minnie ball in it.

I'd tend to agree with 300stw.
Vihtavouri N550, N565, N570, IMR7828, Retumbo, H1000 would do you better than IMR4350.
The 4831 would be close to RL19 burn wise.
Not the highest velocity, but decent accuracy.
RL23 and RL26 are good for the bullet weight, but finding any is hard to say the...
My ex-wife stripped the finish off my old Savage 110 wood stock.

You could always do the same as a radiator cap replacement.
Where you take off the radiator cap and pull a different vehicle in. Put radiator cap on.
In this case, remove the Remington emblem and put it on a Savage.
