Preferred boots for Elk/Mule deer - working on gear for next year and would like your thoughts. I know Setters are very accurately sixed boots - an 11.5 wide is an 11.5 wide. What about the other two.
I was wondering how many members use pack animals to get their elk out. What do you use? Do you rent them or hire somebody. Not a big fan of atvs. OK with breaking don and animal and packing it out. I us game cart at home but was wondering about pack animals - mules goats llamas even...
Ever since I started posting(all 3 or 4 of them) I have been blessed with great deals. I got a new pair of Nikon at Dicks at a good price, stumbled on a great deal on a new rifle, and today I was at Gander Mt in Dickson City PA - they are still going out of business - going so far as to be...
I saw that these were on sale at Dick's. 10x42's for 279.00 down from 329.00. I have read some reviews here and there - mostly on the birder forums. Check out the series they also offer 8x56's and 16x56s even 20's. Any thoughts/opinions to offer. the 8x and 16x's are intriguing.
Any recommendations for which state would be the best for my first elk hunt. Would be rifle or muzzleloader but would probably leave the flintlocks at home. Non resident from PA, would be driving out, and don't believe in magnums or muzzlebrakes. Interested in mule deer too.
I read this thread over a couple of times and although the response is aa bit late I think you made a sound rational choice of vehicle. Of all the trucks out there it is still one of the few that actually looks like a pickup truck.
20 minutes north of Scrranton these days could mean Clarks Summit of Carbondale.
From Pittston, for others from PA that's between Wilkes Barre and Scranton
