You read that wrong. According to the source you quoted, there were 100 known adults in 2001. What is the count now?

What do yall think of the new Garmin Sight Ethical?

I don't think most people will argue on the point of technology making it easier to quickly and sufficiently kill animals is bad. I think that is just a matter of taking the hunt out of hunting. Missing is part of hunting. Practicing with your weapon so that you are proficient is part of...

    Wyoming Cow Elk Units

As much as I hate to be the guy that is asking this, I have researched a few units and locations that I am interested in applying for but can't seem to pick one over the others. If anyone has experience in Wyoming that wouldn't mind being a sounding board via pm, I would appreciate it. I'm...

    7mm-08 Ok for Cow Elk?

Y’all don’t need to waste your time arguing about it. 300 yards is plenty far enough for me. If they are father away than that, I can walk.

What to do with leg shanks?

We crockpot whitetail shanks in my house. Same thing as any stew. Add your carrots, potatoes and what have you’s and let her cook. My wife says it’s one of her favorite meals.

    7mm-08 Ok for Cow Elk?

I’m not a bullet expert at all. I chose the SST’s because they grouped well out of my gun. I will say that I have had great success on whitetail’s with them. Never a farther run than 20yards. But I could Imagine those elk will require something a little more substantial.

    Pronghorn binos on a BUDGET

Gonna throw another hat in the ring for the vortex diamondbacks. I have the 10x50’s and have enjoyed them every time I look through them. Not to mention vortex’s stellar lifetime warranty. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with them. Speaking of, gonna order the tripod adapter and a...

    7mm-08 Ok for Cow Elk?

I appreciate all the replies. Glad to hear that the caliber is sufficient. Even more happy to get the advice about the bullet choice. Think I have some accubonds in my stash. I’ll spend some range time with them and go from there.

    7mm-08 Ok for Cow Elk?

Hope to be venturing out west for my first cow hunt this coming fall, if I can ever make up my mind on a unit to apply for (yikes). So I have a 7mm-08, its my go to rifle and I have taken multiple whitetail deer with it with great success. But I realize that elk are a smidge bigger so I just...
