    Gravelly Range Fires

Southern Elk, I'm glad to hear you guys avoided evac. We hunt the Gravellys (camp in Clover Meadows). I just started hunting MT last year but a friend I hunt with has been hunting up in the Gravellys for years. We had big plans for a bivi hunt in some back country, but... our plans are...

Critique my clothing: Montana, November, Units 324/330

I hunt the same area and I got by last year in just Sitka Ascent Pants and Jacket. And then we got a foot of snow on Sept. 14th (?). Then it was Sitka Mountain pants and FL Cirrus Jacket! :) Your list looks good. I'll keep an eye out for you down there. ;) -Mike

    Ut, id, wa?

True, but unless you draw a bull permit you're hunting spikes and cows in most of eastern Washington. I've lived in WA 32 years and I hunt Montana now. Elk in WA are primarily in areas easily accessed by vehicle and absent in many of our best country (north Cascades). -Mike

    MT license question

I received my MT Hunting regs in the mail along with a license application for B tags. No licenses or tags yet. Gonna call on Tuesday. -Mike

    MT Permit Results are posted

I'm more hopeful but a tad confused. I'm hoping someone can help me out here: Does this mean I DID get a NR Combo license?

Heard MT sold out the 17,000 - non-residents panic

In reading these posts I'm becoming more hopeful. Our group was unsuccessful for the big game combo so we started planning an Idaho hunt. But maybe there is still a chance that our unsuccessful will switch to successful? -Mike

    Spring Bear Permits

Lefty315, I forgot about the western WA tags. Back when I lived on the west side we could run around all that Weyerhauser and Plum Creek property without a permit. Good luck on your hunt!

Montana deer elk March 15th - How the system works

This will be my first year putting in for one of the deer/elk non-res combo licenses for MT. I am hoping that my odds are good for drawing one of these tags. I've been on Google Earth so much I feel like I've already been in the unit we're planning on hunting. -Mike

    Spring Bear Permits

Here in Washington we have a few select units (NE and SE) open for spring bear permit holders. I put in for GMU 101 but with only one point I didn't have good odds. The results are out and no tag for me this year. I will just have more time for spring turkey and deer scouting. I wonder if...

    Newbie from central Washington

Yes, there are no bag limit or size restrictions on bass, channel catfish or walleye on the Columbia.

    Newbie from central Washington

I'm a Michigan transplant to Washington. Grew up hunting whitetails but love hunting elk and mulies; I'm primarily an archery hunter. I am a fisheries bio and work on walleye, bass, crappie, bluegill fisheries for the state. Been lurking for awhile and finally made the decision to sign up...
