Anyone have any experience using calls for mountain lions? I'm thinking of trying it in an area of heavy cat presence. Could use some advice as I think my chances for success are rather low.
Hello Bearcrazy. I'm from up in New England but always looking for new opportunities to meet fellow hunters. How far are you from Connecticut? I've done quite a bit if bear hunting and have travelled extensively to hunt. Do you spend anytime fishing?
I appreciate all of the replies. My wife and have done three self guided Moose hunt out east but the population here has absolutely crashed. We still put in and have enough experience to be successful but just aren't seeing the animals like we used to.
You're probably right on all accounts. By the time I add up the fees I've paid for points and then a license I could've swung a guided hunt. But then again I do enjoy prospecting! I've been lucky enough or patient enough to draw some really great tags. I'll just stay on the course and research...
I've got 14 Moose points in WY and am not looking forward to paying the new fee on additional points. Are there any decent units I could draw and have a reasonable chance at a respectable bull? I'm 52 and in decent shape. I appreciate any help. Thanks
I'm sorry I cannot point you in the right direction with your hog hunt however I may be visiting my parents in Naples in mid march and would be interested in joining you.
I'm another easterner that would be interested in joining a group or individual on a swap hunt. There's not many hunting opportunities here in Connecticut however I've got two good sized fishing boats and would be glad to take a few trips out fishing. We always eat well on our hunts as well...
