Did hear elk bugle in 270 last year, but it was down close to hway 93, and I'm sure that it was private land. A friend of mine had a tag for 270 last year, and we went in there a couple of times, but saw nothing. Hunted instead on nearby units that had a lot more elk, and you don't need a special permit.
