I have never had a coyote show interest in the woodpecker spinner on my FoxPro, but bobcats like them. Raptors like them too though. I had a hawk pick up my caller and carry it about ten feet!
I am looking forward to this Pint Night. The gear swap should be fun. I have a Moss Little Dipper tent (needs some work, but a good project for someone), various archery items, some camping gear, and some fishing tackle to sell with all proceeds going to the SE Chapter. Most of all I am looking...
This seems like a good deal until you realize the coupon is only good for online sales on their website. They sell at full msrp and charge for shipping and handling ($35 from GA to my home next door in AL), while Bud's Gun Shop and others sell way below msrp and offer free shipping. Considering...
I bought some Ramcats last year. They fly true to field points, but as others have said, they are not durable. While hiking through the Alabama briars one day during turkey season, I felt my bow catch on a briar and gently pulled it away. Later I inspected my arrows and found the tip of one of...
Apparently I need to make a correction here, South Carolina is not included in the Southeast Chapter at this time. Don't let that dissuade you South Carolinians from getting involved though! My understanding is that national is working on a North Carolina/South Carolina Chapter, or something...
Yes, we need leadership in every state, but could especially use it in Mississippi and South Carolina. We have board members from Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, and Louisiana. If you are from Mississippi or South Carolina and want to help please let us know!
I believe BHA national places you in the chapter by default, but you can make contact with other Tennesseans on the Facebook site. We already had one Pint Night in Nashville and another is in the works, location and date TBD.
Also, the Pint Night in Ft. Pierce has been finalized, check the FB page for those details.
We are planning others throughout the SE region, so stay tuned or, better, lend a hand with organizing. We are making strides but need as much help as possible.
Please do spread the word. We have a few Mississippi members involved in the SE Chapter, but need more.
By the way, the intent is to eventually form individual state chapters, so there is much to be accomplished.
My brother and I drove to Colorado from Alabama in late August for early elk archery, and two weeks later I packed up my wife and daughter and drove to Arizona for another archery elk hunt! It was totally worth it. I am 49 with a full time job, and a family, so don't think it can't be done!
Hey Markus! We are piling on members in Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, and South Carolina. I have seen several threads on HT about hungers from our region planning elk trips. I hope they will catch the public land fever and get involved. We have much to offer the...
