My wife and oldest son passed hunters ed this spring, and while the boy isn't quite ready to be toting a rifle for a big game hunt, the missus certainly was. I went out Thursday by myself and shot a pretty nice four point, but I'm way more excited and proud of this little forky that she got on Saturday. She folded it with one shot at about 225 yards using a 7mm-08 and 140gr E-tips. He only went about 20 yards, but that was just because he rolled down the steep slope--it was dead before it hit the ground.

Looks like you taught her well, congrats to both! Its so much fun to teach new folks!!

Always great when a new hunter is able to make a quickly lethal shot on their first buck. Congrats to you and your wife.
