CO Elk Hunt Planning - Draw Odds?

Hunted on CO public lands in 2015 & 2017. Planning a trip again in 2019. Was wondering if the changes to CO's application fees & process had any noticeable impact on draw odds. I won't have a big pool of preference points built up. Does it make sense to consider a back plan?

If you have more than 1pt I dont think it will have any effect.

The application process is almost assuredly going to be different next year. Its a hot topic with the commission. I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks. My # years to hunt elk is slowly ticking away and I just don't want waste any of them.
