New Back Pack

I run a commander alps frame, and then a day pack in it usually. I know it’s not the same quality as most of the packs listed here, but I have about $120 in it all together and it flat out will carry some weight. I’ve had a shoulder and a ham on it from a cow with zero issues at all. I guess my point is that sometimes you don’t have to have the absolute best, perhaps a good pack is good enough. I’ve used mystery ranch packs in the Army, they were great! But for me the price point is a bit steep. I see a lot of folks get wrapped up in having the latest and best bags, rifles, camo... Plenty of animals have been killed by folks in plaid and jeans. I’m not knocking the gear, I know it’s better than mine. But the good gear of today was probably top of the line 15 years ago. Ok my long ramble is over, buy tags not gear.
