There are rings marks, not scratches, minor in nature but does not detract from the scope's appearance. Scope briefly lived on another rifle using different rings. FYI, if you have never used TSP rings, they are great in steel or aluminum (these are aluminum).

I will deduct $35 for the ring marks.
