I've got a pair of Vortex 8x42mm Talon HDs that I LOVE and use a lot both here in Michigan as well as out West.
Am thinking about a step up from 8x and 10x seems like too small of a jump to matter much, plus I've gotten hooked on binocs with a tripod so looking hard at 12x. Thinking maybe these could replace my spotting scope (Leupold GR 15-30x 50mm) in my pack.
Leupold has BX3 Mojave Pro Guide HD 12x50mm and I'm thinking this may be my ticket. I'm leaning toward Leupold because I get a discount as a hunter ed instructor.
Is there anyone here who has first hand experience w/ these binocs who'd be willing to give me a breakdown? I'd especially love to hear from anyone who has hunted glass-intensive areas/game such as mountain mulies or coues deer with them!
Thanks a lot,
efw
