My partner and I returned from Colorado a week and a half ago. We rented a Davis wall tent from outdoors geek in Denver. The tent was 14x17 and used the traditional pole set up. It cost us $250 for 10 days and we could have added the stove for $60. The tent was great and the service we recieved was top notch. Will and his wife are good people and easy to deal with. We have thought about buying one but could never decide between a Davis and the Alanak. It's also tough to spend $1000 on something you will only use every other year or so. Renting gear might save some beginners time and money. I myself could have saved some money buy renting gear rather than buying the gear I could aford at the time. It's an option that might help fellow hunters. Feel free to check out their websight or pm me with and other questions.

When the time comes to buy, you will not be disappointed with the Alaknak. I have a 12X20 with the vestibule. I can load and set up by myself and I'm a little old man.

Hunting aint cheap. Period.
Rent or buy. Tags, and to fly.
Clothing = $300 garmets.
+1 on that alaknak 12x20.
So how was your hunt?

My dad and I've been looking at the Alaknak. Sounds like a good purchase.
