Piper my 3 month old German Wirehaired Pointer and I got out last week for muledeer antlers. She did great. I was afraid she might tucker out on me, but after her lunchtime nap she was good to go the rest of the day.

We started the day with a year old 80 incher, but couldn't match it up and couldn't find any others nearly as big, but it was a great day hiking the hills with "Hyper"Piper.

Looks like you both had a great time.

Training our new puppy to shed hunt is on my agenda somewhere in there. I have a bunch of old sheds and I'm hoping we can make it a form of retrieving for her to go find the sheds that I hide in the yard and bring them back to me.

Of course getting her to come, sit and stay is probably going to be a priority for now.
