Woodstock vs Synthetic Stock???

I prefer wood. But, I live in the rainy part of Washington, so I generally buy synthetic

Synthetic for hunting and laminated for my benchrest rifle. The only wood stock rifles I own are a Marlin 30-30 and two 45-70's ( a Sharps and a Ruger #1).
