All three are great but I enjoyed the first (Rise) the most. It's probably the most engaging biography I have read. I could be wrong but I think the author got a Pulitzer for The Rise of TR.

I also listened to and enjoyed all three volumes. Learned a tremendous amount. He was a much more complex man than it appeared at first glance.

A fantastic series! Colonel Roosevelt is equally interesting, Theodore Rex is probably the most eventful (the presidential years); but arguably the least interesting.
