This Bull was hanging around the farm I hunt for the last 2 seasons. Unfortunately he mauled 12 cows and even with me pleading with the conservation officers that I will take him. They put him down. He had no fear what so ever of us. I took these photos with a older blackberry, the fence you see in the background is 31 yards exactly. I could take this bull with a knife lol.
I can age Whitetails pretty well, to look past he antler size. How do you estimate the age of a Elk? is it the same way by judging the body?
The RMEF released these elk about a few years ago, I hope all the bulls get to this potential
