NM unit 2 elk

Found out today we drew unit 2 muzzle loader elk tags, has anyone hunted this unit before

ive hunted 2b///seen some elk tracks on a couple gated roads,but didnt see any elk in 2011.

I know some people who have hunted it and have had great success. I've driven through there at night and seen some great size bulls. The muzzle loader tag is a good hunt because the bulls are still Bulging so you should be able to locate them. There's lot of mesa and canyons out there so best thing is to get in shape. Hope you fill your tags.

ive got the 2b deer november rifle hunt this year!!i have been there before ,but seen some elk tracks here and there,,sounds like youll be there way before me,,but if it gets wet,,take your tire chains,,even in september it can get gumbo if it rains.
