MT Region 4 deer ??

I'm thinking of heading towards Great Falls for 4-5 days around the 19th. Have a good friend who has hunted some block managment in the years past who has done very well. I have never been in that area and will be going in with no scouting what so ever. I know there are some WMA's in the area also. I have some block managment unit numbers in mind that I wouldn't mind getting some opinions on. Don't mind sharing them in a PM. Have not called on any yet, haven't decided for sure if it's worth the 6 hr drive. Thanks in advance for any help.

Good luck if you do it. We are making the 7 hour drive to eastern MT where the deer took a beating last year. I will post if we are lucky enough to kill anything.

Around Great Falls the block management gets it hard. If you dont have private ground to hunt you will have tough time. The public ground (national forest) is good but you can expect to work hard for it.
