So the music topic has us discussing the best foods over breakfast. We quickly realized that all of our favorite foods are meat. Here’s my top 4.

1.Bacon
2.Steak (Beef Ribeye)
3.Elk Back Strap
4.Smoked Ribs (pork)

Positions 2-4 can be argued, but if you don’t think bacon is #1, I will fight you.

2. KC Strip.
3. Sweet Italian antelope sausage.
4. Homemade chicken and noodles with sweet rolls.

Thick cut bacon only, if you prefer thin cut you probably sport a man bun. KC Strips are about the only beef cut that everyone in our home agrees on and leaves zero leftovers. I started making sweet Italian sausage from our antelope years ago and it goes well with a ton of different dishes. Kids love it on homemade pizza.

Bacon and ham are great just not top 4 material for me. Scallops, shrimp, halibut, beef tri tip, pork spare ribs, bison ribeye, antelope backstrap all deserve a honorable mention.

Yeah, I was more thinking of the meat product themselves. Cube steak is fine, but it’s not chicken fried steak until it has breading, gravy, and the appropriate sides.
