Jim Corbett's 275 Rigby

Rigby is still making works of art, masquerading as rifles. Jim Corbett was a legendary tiger hunter in India. His rifle is the stuff of legend. Rigby remade it (with some embellishment) for the SCI show. I would dearly love to own the original, but I could be persuaded to slum it with the reproduction.

You bet! Grew up with the tales of Corbett, Kipling, etc. I've always dreamed of being there during the time of the man-eaters.

[I[/I]Isn't the .275 the same as a 7mm. I heard that the brits measure inside the rifling and americans measure outside. Not sure of my proper terminology.

Also if anyone hasn't read man eaters of kumaon your missing out. Awesome stories and life. I think I could slum with that reproduction too.

Yes, the .275 Rigby is the same as the 7x57 Mauser.

The 257 would be the .257 Mannlicher-Schoenauer cartridge.
