Here is a couple trail cam pics of a bull. He and his cows were using this trail every few days at 7-8am without fail. We sat this trail a few times but never laid eyes on him.

On day two of the hunt we called up a big bladed out 7pt that was cleanly missed low at 45yd because of misjudged yardage and very few landmarks to range. I've been there and it hurts. Day two also had a forky bull in close for a while grazing but no arrows were sent his way.
The evening of day three we went to sit a trail and on the way in spotted elk coming down the trail a little earlier than we expected. We backed down wind to let them feed past and crystal put an arrow through the heart of her first archery bull. I watched it all unfold and he went down within sight of the shot. No blood trailing this trip.
Here she is letting out some real tears of joy.
If you think we take this for granted you would be mistaken.

Here is the last load of the night. It was a relatively short pack so she insisted we leave the leg on after I gave her crap on here for the last pack out.
