Unfortunately the camera battery didn't fair so well with the cold weather over a few days...so not many field photo's. Lots of blood too... I gave him a couple of insurance rounds even though the first was probably enough..lol:W: Although I did go and snap a few more of him this morning...sorry they're just the cape and head. Great hunt though...although very cold!!

Thanks everyone!! Very happy with the deer.... I saw a huge buck at the start of the week and actually passed on this deer a couple of times. Had I not seen the big one I would have shot this buck in a heartbeat...but as time passed on never seeing the big one again, I decided if I saw him again I would shoot as I was running out of time with a front moving in this weekend. As luck would have it I ran into him that very afternoon and the rest is history..no regrets!! 170's frame with 25" of trash....:hump:

Now I can focus on elk this weekend before 3rd season closes...
