Fishing near Denver

I think it's a long shot but can anyone tell me a good spot to fish near Denver? I'm in town visiting my brother in law and want fish. Thanks for any info

What determines near? Here in MT everything is just an hour away . I had good lock on the Big Thompson going from Loveland up to Estes Park. A friend of mine took me to an alpine lake near Boulder, but I have no clue which one it was. By MT standards those woul be somewhat near.
