Cow elk hunting

Just cu reuse if hunting cows would be much different than hunting bulls. Is there anything i would have to do differently? Archery Sept.10-18. riffle Nov. 10 ?

Lots of cow calls. The herd cow leads the pack so where she goes the group follows. Bugling usually means there is a hot cow in the area but not always. They should be easier to find.

i drew a cow tag im my home state of oregon this year on the west side in the coast range, it will be my 1st cow hunt, season opens feb 1st and ends march 31st 2017 for me. was able to take my 1st bull last year, so getting another elk in the freezer has me happy as all my friends have told me its a guaranteed meat hunt. im looking forward to what should be a fun hunt as my mom drew a tag as well for the same hunt. getting to run around the woods with my parents will be an enjoyable time. i dont know how many more season they will be going out so each time we get to hunt together is cherished.
