Bugle this time of year??

My brother bugled his in on opening day of the Montana rifle season last year after it and another bull started bugling at each other. Couple years before that another member of our hunting party had one bugle at them and they cow called it right in.

One would think they are doing all this later in the year because of the whole global warming thing, but I remember my dad having one bugling at him 25 years ago during the rifle season. Elk talk year round, I think they just shut up after that first day or so of rifle season from getting pressured.

I shot this one Nov 7th a couple yrs ago. Sat just inside the trees for over an hr in dark listening to him and 5 other bulls screaming. I hear them during rifle season every yr. Almost a given for the opener.
