Bear Claws

I have a collection of bear claws that I would like to do something with. Does anyone have any experience in cleaning and preserving claws? I'm also looking for ideas of what to turn them into. Thanks for the help!

Before I left CO I gave all mine to a Sioux friend whose wife is Arapahoe and they live on the Wind River Res. He was going to use them on some of his ceremonial outfits. If anyone knows anyone on the Crow or Cheyenne reservations over by Billings I'm pretty sure they'd appreciate them, as well as any elk teeth they could get. Both hold religious significance to Native Americans (big medicine).
That is one nice looking piece of jewelry, well thought out and well executed; do you know the maker or how to get hold of him? (Just noticed your note that it was on Facebook.)
