Hey All -
I've spent a good amount of time the past few years hunting in and around the lower portion of the Weminuche N of Pagosa Springs, particularly around Eagle Mtn. With the increased amount of beetle kill and the fire, elk distribution definitely seems to have changed. Areas where late...
Exactly beagle001, right wing feather, right wing fletching jig/helical, right bevel head. We have a 125 and 200 grain option in either bevel to start. If you have any other questions feel free to email us at [email protected]. Thanks again.
It's tongue in cheek poking fun at all of the lame archery product brand names. Read the first couple of lines on the home page. We put our time into the design, not the gimmick.
I have four wethers - 3 Alpine and one cross 3/4 Alpine 1/4 Boer. The cross and one of the alpines are 4 yrs old. The other two are just over a year old.
I also have two sets of saddle/panniers/saddle blanket from Bantam Saddle Tack.
Over the course of the last year I've developed a...
Hey All, I head out on the 9th for my CO hunt. Right now my Plan A is to access the west elk wilderness of Rte 727 just below squirrel creek, and to hunt west and north into the wilderness.
Any recommendations from those who have hunted 54 in the past on my plan and/or on best place to find...

I'm going to be heading out with my bow for OTC turkey and to get a lay of the land for a Nov archery elk hunt this fall. Any advice from folks who have hunted this area and where to look for gobblers?
Thanks!
I'm heading up this weekend for my first scouting trip. The majority of the unit is railroad land, private ranch and state trust land. There's a decent chunk of Kaibab Forest near Williams and I'd prefer to stay on public land.
If anyone's hunted this unit and has good advice I am all ears...
I love the propaganda. They talk about our side having strings. Pot meet kettle, right? Here's a good read on their band leaders. The Land Grab Mafia.

They have been making the rounds across the west. The state land board folks are chomping at the bit to get their hands on new inventory.
Here are a few links from here in the SW. One is the agenda for the "Who Will Manage the Future of Our Public Lands" discussion held in Flagstaff in Feb...
It's actually really simple. Special interest (gun and insurance lobby) driven politicians wrote the legislation without input from hunters or game and fish. They rammed it through the legislative process vs. going through G&F. G&F intentionally sat on proposals to add rifle calibers because...
The theme of the essay I shared is that loss of access is a huge issue facing the future of hunting in the US, and that apathy and political inactivity are our future's worst enemy. My example of Indiana was meant to highlight what can and is happening elsewhere. The drivers may vary from...
The links to Hornady's ballistics were in my post. I spent 2 minutes recalling knowledge I learned in 9th grade and have been applying to my choices in arrow/broadhead combos, bow draw weight and arrow weight considerations, rifle load choices, etc. ever since. You don't see momentum discussed...
Flatland, how much momentum a projectile has at muzzle, or under 50-60 yards is 100% irrelevant in this discussion, and in most ballistics conversations. How much momentum it has when someone misses and it first hits something solid. That's what matters in this instance. We're talking about...
Actually you're not applying the physics correctly. You have to do the momentum equation at point of overshoot impact. This is the same mistake bowhunters make when doing KE or M math. It doesn't matter how fast it's going when it leaves the weapon, it matters how much M it's carrying at...
Drew my very first antelope tag and am going up this weekend to spend a little time. After eating my first antelope in Missoula a few weekends ago at the BHA Rendezvous, I might be looking forward to meals as much as the hunt.
