I tried them when they first came out years ago on some bottle neck cartridges. They didnt show me any improvement in acuuracy.
When I load for the 30-30 I will use the FC dies though just for the fact that they are going to be used in a tubular magazine.

I use Warne's on this 550 Chambered in 416 Rigby. They have a recoil lug on the rear ring. You can see it in this picture, look for the square notch just below the 2 screws near the receiver on the rear ring. Hope this helps some.;)

While not a Barnes, I have also tried other homongenous bullets. These in particular are 200 gr Lost River VLD J36 hunting bullets. Not much of a test but these were recovered from a dirt backstop after being fired from a 338 Lapua at 100 yards. Muzzle velocity was 3380 fps. Still have 50 or so...
