Recently found out I draw a unit 100 bighorn sheep tag!!!!!!

I haven't found a lot of information on the unit due to the low tag numbers they
give out each year... Was wondering if any one has some information about
the unit....

I ordered a map today and plan on talking to area biologist.. Been applying for three
years for a tag out west.... I had to change my underwear after I
found out the first tag I draw was a sheep tag:)

Thanks,

Brad

Hummm just for the record congrats and good luck no info here. Some people have all the luck dang

I am hoping my luck continues and I make it through
another hunting season without my wife tagging me over
the head with a frying pan...

Just put in all my vacation today for my sheep hunt, no
family trip this year.... Hope she understands, think I will
wait a while to tell her:)

I don't have any information for you as I live in MN, but I just wanted to say congrats on the tag and good luck!!

Lucky guy Bigfish! Bruce (the biologist) in T. Falls knows his sheep and will be a great resource for you. Make sure to post some hunt pics this fall.

Just talked to Bruce yesterday and he was a great
resource and made me feel very optimistic about
getting a nice sheep....

Thanks for the congrats NoWiser, only wish I still
lived in Detroit lakes Mn it would be only an 18 hour drive...
I currently live in Northern WI and think its going to be close to
a 24 hour drive....

But it will be all well worth it!!!!!

So your a nonresident who drew a sheep tag after 3 years in Montana. You better buy a lottery ticket cause it's got better odds than that tag. Unfortunately I don't have any info to give but good luck.

No problem! I have talked with a few hunters. Yes I got lucky, max points but odds were around 1%, possibly a lot less, at most 2-3%. I have been training 6 days a week for years, cardio and free weights and learning the area. Sheep are in a "small" area relative sheep country. 20 square miles at most. 2-1/2 month season so plenty of time.
