I first heard about these on some tech news feed I follow, then got an email from an LED store I buy from yesterday. My first thought was that this would be great to have in elk camp. As long as I can keep a fire in the stove, I'd have no-mess light, with no fuel to pack, and a way to charge electronics.

They're about half-way through a Kickstarter campaign to get started. I thought a lot of you guys might be interested.

That looks interesting too. Peltier junctions have been around for a long time and with the increase in electronic gadgets in the outdoors, I bet we see more applications of the concept.
