Sheese - saw this north of Yankee Jim Canyon on the way to Yellowstone yesterday. Three huge bulls (I thought they were rutting?) and two smaller ones and between 100 and 150 cows.

My wife also spotted a huge grizzly feeding in a hay field just south of the Church Universal Compound. Bummer I couldn't get closer to it for a decent picture. I saw two bulls going at it outside of Mammoth but too dark for a video, and a spike north of the Heritage and research center in Gardiner. Productive day. Need to ditch this iPhone for a real camera...

How could I forget this... we were driving down the road above Mammoth and see a bunch of cars parked and these two people with their Gazillion mm lenses shooting something. We stop and look, only to find out they are taking pictures of a pika. That's right, a freaking pika. My first pika jam.
