It's been a good year for Chinook around our place. They just keep coming.....luckily the bucks will be rutting by my next days off so I can get my focus back to the hunt. Meanwhile we load up on king salmon.

I missed my chance to limit the boat. 5 for 6 bites isn't bad though.

Bobber fished the Trask tidewater last week with no results. Getting so much rain I'm afraid the fish are shooting up. The rain makes the woods quiet, but the season closes Nov. 2nd and blacktails don't get stupid till about the 13th, though some get over anxious and begin chasing does a little by Oct. 27th. Been out once with no results.

ODFW does not want me to kill a deer, and they make it harder to get a big one every year. I may have to take up shooting forked horns again just to get one. Hmmm.
