It was feeding time at Sybille on our way through.
While they are penned , research elk they are still neat to see. One is almost all rubbed off and the bigger guys are definitely not as friendly to each other now.
If you're traveling through Sybille Canyon on Highway 34 they feed about 9 am every day. Good spots to see and judge some big and smaller bulls.
Used to be a place in Sister's , Ore that had them like that, beautiful animals. There was also a game preserve in Ashwood that had them like that. Neither place has them anymore! Over on the coast, coming back out of Reedsport is another place but wild elk. I think it's called Jewel something or other. A road side attraction with parking and viewing area!
