Headed out Saturday to start scouting the access situation in NM Unit 25. Used the day as an opportunity for driving lessons and got in a short hike at one of the spots. Found some sign in a bedding area. The thermometer never got over 90 and there was a good breeze, not too bad of a day all around. A few more days of this checking out different areas, then it will be time to start hiking in and getting serious. That desert is big and September is right around the corner.
