Every morning a man leaves his 20th story apartment, enters the elevator, hits the 'ground floor' button, rides the elevator, then goes to work.

After putting in his full day he returns, enters the elevator, hits the 10th floor button, rides it up and then takes the stairs the rest of the way up to the 20th floor.

Why?

Because he's a midget and can only reach as high as the 10th floor button.

Canoe's response is funny but true. He might be able to get to the 20th floor if he had some assistance...umbrella, cane, etc.
