Macks first retrive

Had the pup out for his second hunt today. Can't wait until pheasants opens up, lots of them this year. The chuckar are around, but really jumpy. The yellow one, Mack is 5 months, hope he learns well from Toby, the 8 year old black one. He has been the best dog I have ever hunted behind. I have been reluctant to get another dog, knowing they probably won't live up to what Toby did for me. Not a lot of birds, but any time you kill a chuckar in the snake river canyon, you earn it.

glad you're getting them, good to see the pups out working, and thanks for sharing the pictures. You're absolutely correct, any time you get birds in the canyon, you've earned it.
