Knocking down some hogs

I headed back out to my buddy’s place to do some hog hunting. He told me to bring a shotgun just in case I walked up on a herd of them. On the way to the stand, I saw a group of pigs feeding in the grown-up food plot. I had my AR 12, which I had loaded with 6 rounds of 00 buckshot. I put the sneak on them and I was able to kill three. I hit the fourth big one hard at least once but it ended up getting away from me into the swamp. Still a pretty good day.

I wish I could upload video. It was pure carnage for 20 seconds.

After church yesterday we made sausage out of 3 of the 4 pigs I had in the freezer. Ended up with 61 packs. Each pack has an 18-24” ring of sausage.

Side note - I found a broadhead lodged in the shoulder blade of the big boar I killed 3 or 4 weeks ago.

Great shooting. Re the head, to the shout of go west young man should be go heavy in the broadhead department. Take decent weight to penetrate the shield on boars.

Shoot 15 more and you will have 6 broadheads for deer season. Nice work on those 3 and that's a ton of sausage for the freezer.
