Grizz in Two Weeks

I head out for western Alaska two weeks from today to hunt spring grizzly bear. Ten day hunt with travel on each end will be the most time I've taken away from work in one whack ever.

Can't wait, chomping at the bit, drooling on the keyboard as I type !

Those grizz got it coming for all the things they done !

Thanks folks, depart next Thursday.

I'll be packing a .300 Weatherbaby, loaded with 220gr Hornady round nose.

A buddy in Missouri built the gun for me; Rem 700 action, Hart fluted barrel, H-S Precision green synthetic stock, trigger work, everything tweaked and fitted, pillar bedded, black tee type coating on all the metal work, sporting a Leupold 4x12.

It's a nice outfit. Had him engrave ".300 Weatherbaby" on it too.
