The which and where is sometimes debated. This map may not be entirely accurate . I don't think it is, but neither will I say it isn't.

I have several P&Y and B&C fox squirrels in the books😅 The Hoosier state has a species all it's own, @SFC B and @JohnCushman can tell you that! Dang it I probably just blew up this section of the country for squirrel hunting...
 
I saw an article on a hunter who did a sq slam of all NA species. I guess you could really get into it if you wanted.
