I hunted eastern MT 3 years ago had a blast but the numbers were still way down, said I wouldn't come back until the numbers started to rebound anyone know what the fawn forecast is are the numbers starting to rebound with some mild winters?

In my area of 600, numbers are still quite a bit lower than what I noticed pre-2011. I saw my first fawn on the 7th and another fresh one today. So far just the two single fawns. I got a pic of the one today, but still on the camera. Crazy how fast those brand new fawns can move and then hit the ground to hide.

I haven't seen official numbers, but they seem to be on the way up. Still a LONG way from where they were before the winter of 2011.

Saw a couple fawns Saturday. I've been really pleased with how the numbers in 650 and 700 are doing. As long as we have a couple mild winters I fully expect them to continue to climb to pre 2011 numbers.

Not a very good hider.

Nice picture mtmiller. Your mailbox is full.

Around Baker the fawns are starting to drop. Antelope numbers look better than the last couple years
