Long time reader first time poster. Looking for some info on a non res DIY idaho black bear hunt. I have been reshearching all of the 2nd tag units and have got my eye on unit 17 and 27. I would like to get some information on a good unit for spot and stalk in souther/south eastern idaho as i live in Logan utah and that i would be able to spend alot more time in the field. Been eying unti 76 as i know the area some but never been after bears or even seen one there. So i guess main questions are
1. what would be top unit choice overall for good chance at a bear, and getting away from the crowds?
2. If i stay southern what units would be your top pick?
3. is unit 76 worth hunting or is it over hunted?
I hate that my fist post is asking for info rather than giving info but i will do my best to pay it forward.
