Curious, on the deer tags... What is the background on this? Seems about every district in Region 1 and 2 have simply flipped a major 180 with regards to tags...
Some had 300 tags available - dropped to 50, etc... (drawings)
Not against such - though that is rather dramatic for 1 season to the next... B tags gone, etc. Herd managment with such volitile fluctuations is not usually a good sign...
I really value my A and B tag each year for two deer in the freezer - now ? I have a "buck only" opportunity for the remainder of the season...
Anyone with the low down on this?

They said they had to cut them because of a combination of things. Too liberal of past seasons, predators, and a poor fawn crop.

That is interesting. Over here I could buy my A tag and then 11 doe tags if I wanted to and worked the system right. My kid still has two doe tags to fill and I only bought 5 for him plus his A tag.
